WILLIAM KEY, PRESIDENT
William started with the company in 2005 and his goals have been the same since day one. He is determined to grow the company and find new ways to be successful. During his time with BLS, William quickly worked his way to the top and recently gained title as President of the company. He has a business degree from Southwestern University and uses it every day with his focus of business first and play later. He approaches each project with enthusiasm and maintains a positive attitude throughout the challenges. William continues to be very proficient at managing the business, his project managers, superintendents, subcontractors and employees. Estimating projects continue to be one of William's main jobs as this is an important and integral part of being awarded a project. Repeat business with satisfied clients is on the rise and most of this is due to the dedication he has to each job. William is often described by his customers as honest, a realist and a "get-it-done" kind of guy.
Britni key, vice president-community relations director
Britni holds bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Marketing and after working for over 15 years in advertising, marketing and sales, she has found her passion serving and giving back to our community. BLS has been a part of her life since she was just 5 years old and although she is familiar with most of the day to day operations, business relationships and employees; her primary focus is to manage the opportunities with the community surrounding both our company and clients. She is very involved in many local community programs and events, including being an Officer for the Sesame Club of El Campo, the Chairman of the St. Philip’s Catholic School Annual Dinner Dance Fundraiser and Assistant Captain on the International Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
JOHN SCHMERMUND
John is the founder of BLS Construction, Inc. and currently serves as a consultant for our team. Although he recently retired and keeps himself busy at the ranch, he is at times called back in the office. He continues to stay in the loop with the projects and works closely with William in case he is needed for advice or just an extra hand in project management when the current job list is lengthy. John finds his work very rewarding and continues to try and establish new business relationships for the company. His customers and friends often describe him as detailed, personable and adventurous.
